KISS STRIKES AGAIN FOR SEVENTH POLE
Continuing to be unbeatable over one lap, Norbert Kiss has taken his seventh pole of the season.
He outpaced Adam Lacko and Sascha Lenz by nine tenths of a second to continue his unbroken record this season. His pole claiming time was a 1:53.870
Behind him, the fight was much closer as Lacko, Lenz and Jochen Hahn battled it out in Super Pole for second on the grid. Just under a tenth separated the three, with Hahn and Lenz looking to impress at their home event. It was the non-local driver Lacko who took second, with Lenz third and Hahn having to settle for fourth.
Antonio Albacete completed the top five, a further half a second down on Hahn’s 1:54.878.
Sixth and seventh on the overall grid went to first and second in Promoter’s Cup. Keeping up his great form from the Slovakia Ring, Jamie Anderson has added another class pole position to his name. Class rival Teo Calvet was four tenths off Anderson’s 1:54.953, second in class. The pair will definitely be ones to watch come Race One tomorrow.
Andre Kursim and Stephanie Halm kept up their Super Pole appearances, taking eighth and ninth on the overall grid. The top ten and Super Pole was completed by Lukas Hahn who starts third in the Promoter’s Cup.
It wasn’t the best session for Lion Truck racing driver Anthony Janiec who will be the lowest starting Titan driver down in 14th. He starts behind Shane Brereton (11th) who just missed out on a Super Pole appearance, Jose Rodrigues (12th) and Steffen Faas (13th).
Luis Recuenco returns after his appearance last time out at the Slovakia Ring and will begin tomorrow’s first race 15th. Behind him is Clemens Hecker as well as Erwin Kleinnagelvoort, Stefan Kursch and Emma Makinen, who complete the grid.
