Team Kursch Kurtscheid Ready for Full Season Debut

After a handful of race-by-race appearances in recent years, there’s a new name taking on the full grid in 2025: 32-year-old Stefan Kursch from Kurtscheid in Germany, who’s bringing not just horsepower — but heart, family, and lifelong passion, with his own Team Kursch Kurtscheid.

For Stefan, truck racing is more than just a sport, it’s a childhood dream turned reality. “I grew up visiting the ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring every year,” he recalls. “Later, I got my first taste behind the scenes as a mechanic. And in 2020, I finally got to race my own truck for the first time.”

That debut came at the Lausitzring, and while he’s since competed as a race-by-race entry - including his first ETRC appearance in 2022 and another in Le Mans last year - 2025 marks a major milestone: a full season in the Goodyear FIA ETRC.

“Racing in the European Championship  has always been a dream of mine,” says Stefan. “Thanks to my loyal sponsors and the incredible effort from my team, this year I get to live that dream.”

And when he says “team,” he really means family. Team Kursch Kurtscheid is a true family affair - with Stefan’s wife, daughter, two brothers, relatives, and close friends all playing their part in the effort. That community spirit mirrors what he loves most about the paddock. “There’s a special bond in this championship,” he says. “We’re all competitors on track - but off the track, it feels like one big family.”

This year, Team Kursch Kurtscheid’s commitment to success has been truly tested, as the team completely dismantled their truck and it was still in bits just three weeks ago. With only the frame left standing, the team has pulled off the incredible feat of fully reassembling the truck - including building a brand-new cabin - in a mere three weeks. It’s a testament to the strength of their teamwork, perseverance and dedication.

Stefan races a familiar machine, the former René Reinert / Clemens Hecker MAN truck, which he’s owned since 2022. His goals for this first full campaign? “To learn as much as I can and get the best possible result. But honestly, just being here means everything.”

From the grandstands as a kid to a full-season driver on the European stage, Stefan Kursch’s journey is driven by hard work, determination and a genuine passion for the sport.

When asked about the track he’s most excited for, Stefan’s answer is instant: “The Nürburgring, without a doubt - my home circuit. It’s just 60 kilometres from my hometown, and it’s where this entire journey started.”

Watch out for the number 33 MAN (yes, he's changed from previously running with the 32, because he always wanted to race with 33) when the lights go green in Misano on Saturday — Team Kursch Kurtscheid is ready to make their mark.
