Third still a victory for Lenz in Goodyear FIA ETRC
Sascha Lenz said even losing out on second place in the final Goodyear European Truck Racing Championship standings on countback didn’t take the shine off a 2026 campaign he described as “successful”.
MAN-powered Lenz was on course to finish runner-up to Norbert Kiss in the final reckoning but dropped behind Jochen Hahn after the 28th and last race of the season at Circuito de Madrid Jarama – RACE earlier this month.
“We are incredibly proud to be a small team competing on equal terms with a strong works team,” Lenz said.“Only by winning more podium places did we have to give up our second place in the European championship. It was naturally disappointing for us, but we still look back on a great season.
“I am incredibly grateful and proud of what we have achieved. A big thank you to all my partners for the trust and support throughout the entire season.”
