Goodyear FIA ETRC champion Kiss strikes twice at Zolder
Seven-time Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship title winner Norbert Kiss continued his impressive start to the Circuit Zolder weekend with the fastest time in Free Practice 2, which took place in largely dry conditions after earlier rain.
Hungarian Kiss, driving a Révész Racing MAN, set a benchmark effort of 1m56.273s to edge out long-term rival Jochen Hahn by 0.551s as the IVECO-powered German recorded a personal best of 1m56.824s. Antonio Albacete was third fastest in a time of 1m57.236s.
Behind fourth-placed José Eduardo Rodrigues, John Newell was the fastest Chrome contender in fifth followed by Sascha Lenz, Steffi Halm, René Reinert, Mark Taylor and Jonathan André.
Mercedes-Benz-powered Luis Recuenco was 11th fastest followed by Scania-driving Clemens Hecker, Luke Garrett, Stefan Kursch and Steffen Faas.
