Krone eTrailer Mission Record Run

Combining technical innovation and sustainability

This strive for sustainability continues into the partners of the Goodyear FIA ETRC.

German commercial vehicle manufacturer KRONE joined the championship as official partner in 2023 and together we will work on our shared common goals, to drive forward sustainable solutions in the transport industry as well as to recognise the important role of truck drivers.

KRONE showcases their innovative eTrailer technology through the Mission Record Run. Combining technical innovation and sustainability, the electrified Trailer from KRONE and Trailer Dynamics reduces the diesel consumption and CO2 emissions of a semitrailer tractor by 20 to 40 percent. The centrepiece is an e-axle, which supports the tractor in driving and recovers braking energy through recuperation. The battery energy carried is also sufficient for long distances of over 500 km.

KRONE is taking the eTrailer around selected tracks on the calendar in the hunt for a record lap. The eTrailer technology makes a significant contribution on the way to green logistics and climate neutrality

Simon Richenhagen, Head of Marketing of the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group, expects an exciting racing season: "As part of our sustainability strategy, we want to highlight that our eTrailer sets a high standard in terms of sustainability and also arouses emotions through the "Record-Run" of the eTrailer. Our appearance this year in collaboration with ETRA will prove this."
