2025 season KICKS OFF in Misano

The wait is over. This weekend, the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC) fires up for an action-packed 2025 season at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, with a grid full of returning champions, new teams and bold ambitions for the year ahead.

At the sharp end of the field, two titans of truck racing are set to battle for the history books. Norbert Kiss and Jochen Hahn both enter the season tied with six European titles each to their names, and one of them could become the first-ever seven-time champion by the end of the year. With Hahn’s consistency and Kiss’s dominance in recent seasons, the stage is set for a showdown that could rewrite the history books.

Meanwhile rising star José Eduardo Rodrigues is moving up from Chrome to the Titan class, after a very strong 2024 campaign that saw him take two overall race wins last season. With momentum and confidence behind him, Rodrigues is expected to shake up the title fight.

René Reinert returns to the truck racing grid, taking the wheel of Norbert Kiss’s former championship-winning truck, adding another proven contender to this year’s highly competitive line-up.

The 2025 grid also sees the addition of Ruppert Motorsport, a brand-new team making their full-season debut while a number of former race-by-race entrants are stepping up to full campaigns this year, including Bradley Smith with Don’t Touch Racing and Stefan Kursch with his family-run Team Kursch Kurscheid. Lion Truck’s Johnathan André will join the grid as a race-by-race entry in Misano in his #66 MAN bolstering what will be a very competitive line-up in the Chrome class.

The Goodyear FIA ETRC also welcomes Eurowag as a new official partner. A leader in smart mobility solutions, Eurowag joins the series in its continued drive for innovation and sustainability and will have onsite presences at the races in Slovakia Ring, Nürburgring and Jarama.

Known for its technical layout and passionate fans, Misano offers the perfect backdrop for the season opener. With four races across Saturday and Sunday, the weekend promises close racing, bold overtakes and early insights into the pecking order.

Fans can follow the action live on the Goodyear FIA ETRC digital channels and experience every twist and turn of what promises to be one of the most exciting seasons to date.
