2025 Goodyear FIA ETRC season entry list revealed
Sixteen full-season drivers will contest the eight-event, 32-race season, with additional race-by-race entries expected to bolster the grid as the year unfolds
The 2025 grid is set, and it promises to be one of the most dynamic seasons in recent years, featuring fresh team entries and top contenders ready to battle for European glory.
Leading the charge once again is reigning champion Norbert Kiss, who returns to the grid with a brand-new MAN truck. The Hungarian ace and six-time title winner has rewritten the record books in recent seasons, and after a dominant 2024 campaign, he will be the man to beat once more.
Matching his tally of six titles is Jochen Hahn, who also takes to the track in a new IVECO truck. The experienced German will be hungry to return to the top step and edge ahead in what has become a legacy battle between two of the sport’s greatest-ever drivers.
Joining them in the Titan class are familiar front-runners and fan favourites. Sascha Lenz returns with a striking new-look MAN truck and fresh livery, looking to build on his consistent form and podium potential. Spanish veteran Antonio Albacete, with T Sport Bernau, showed impressive pace last year, claiming the top step of the podium multiple times, and remains a major force.
Steffi Halm will once again fly the flag for Team Schwabentruck in her red and white IVECO. The popular German driver is a proven race-winner and will look to return to the podium in 2025.
René Reinert makes a much-anticipated comeback to full-time racing with Reinert Racing. His experience and speed will make him one to watch from the outset.
Among the most notable changes for 2025 is the move of José Eduardo Rodrigues to the Titan category. The Portuguese youngster, who previously claimed the Chrome and Young Drivers titles, has made remarkable progress and now steps up for 2025 – a significant move that reshuffles the competitive landscape at the front.
STRONG LINE-UP IN THE CHROME CLASS
The Chrome category boasts a strong line-up of returning names and exciting new entries. 2024 Chrome championship runner-up Mark Taylor, who claimed multiple class victories and topped last season with an overall podium, will be a hot contender for the title crown.
Fellow Brit John Newell returns with renewed determination after a series of impressive performances last season in his MAN, and he’ll be looking to push further up the grid and join the fight for top honours in 2025.
Steffen Faas will be turning heads as he makes a high-profile switch to a brand-new Freightliner with tankpool24-Racing – the only truck of its kind in the field.
Clemens Hecker returns in his trusted Scania, while fan-favourite Luis Recuenco lines up once again in his IVECO, ready to showcase their skills and battle it out on track.
Bradley Smith will contest his first full season with Don’t Touch Racing after a series of impressive race-by-race appearances last year.
Luke Garrett returns to the grid, building on glimpses of promise from last season, with a new title partner and a fresh MAN truck — ready to challenge the front runners.
There are also exciting new additions to the Chrome field. Christian Ruppert brings a brand-new team – Ruppert Motorsport – to the championship, fielding a MAN as they make their ETRC debut.
After several race-by-race entries in previous seasons, German driver Stefan Kursch steps up for a full campaign in 2025, looking to make his mark on the category.
With less than two weeks to go until the season-opener at Misano on 17/18 May, anticipation is building for what promises to be another thrilling year of action in the Goodyear FIA ETRC.
