Téo Calvet is surely one of the future stars of truck racing. The youngster, who clocked up the miles in the French series, made his debut in the Goodyear FIA ETRC at the Nürburgring in 2018 with Lion Truck Racing

One appearance was enough for the young Frenchman to make history as he recorded a podium finish with third place in the Promoter’s Cup making him the youngest driver ever to stand on an FIA ETRC podium.

Calvet never took part in any other recognised discipline of racing and his first race was in the French Truck Racing series in 2017. Remarkably he won at Nogaro beating the likes of teammate Anthony Janiec and many other more experienced drivers.

The son of former racer and now well-known administrator, promoter and truck racing personality – Fabien Calvet – Téo has been a regular visitor in his early life at the Nürburgring, accompanying his father and even working with crews and especially Goodyear where he has helped to fit tyres, which has given him a good appreciation of the industry and paddock ambience in racing.

He returned to the scene of his impressive Goodyear FIA ETRC debut at the Nürburgring in 2019 and finished third in the Promoter’s Cup.

Calvet impressed with strong performances in 2020 where he won twice in the Promoter's Cup category in Hungary and he also scored his first overall ETRC podium as he finished third.

The young Frenchman had a great run in 2021, where he took the battle for the Promoter's Cup crown all the way to the last race, where his main rival Shane Brereton managed to beat him to the category win.

Calvet also took a sensational first overall win in the final race at Jarama.

His goal for 2022 is to win the Promoter’s Cup while closing in on the top group in the overall classification.
